In a bold and unprecedented move, Hollywood has announced that the budget for its upcoming epic, "Sock Wars: The Thread Awakens," has officially surpassed the GDP of the island nation of Noodlevania. Producers confirmed that the film’s $5.7 billion budget outspends the tiny country’s entire economic output, leaving economists baffled and sock enthusiasts thrilled.

"We wanted to make sure every sock in the universe was represented," said director Filbert McStitch, sporting a cape made entirely of sequined socks. "We spared no expense—from hiring real sheep to knit the wool, to building a giant sock puppet army. It’s art, it’s passion, it’s a cotton revolution!"

The film industry has reportedly rented out an entire continent to build the movie’s elaborate sock factory sets, and the cast includes over 3,000 extras dressed as various types of socks, including the elusive "Argyle Ninja" and "Tube Sock Samurai." Lead actor Socky McToe stated, "I just hope audiences appreciate the existential struggle of a sock lost in the laundry. It’s a story as old as time, or at least as old as mismatched socks."

Financial analysts suggest that if the movie flops, Hollywood might have to consider minting their own currency or perhaps starting a sock-based barter system. For now, fans eagerly await the premiere, hopeful that the film will unravel the mysteries of sock disappearance once and for all. As McStitch put it, "If this movie doesn’t warm your feet and your heart, we’ll eat our mismatched socks!"
